New Dawn, New Day

Bunco in PC with my girls

For those of you who know me well, you will know that 2010 was a tough year for me. The bad luck started on January 29th and things kind of went down hill from there. My relationship at the time went through some trials which resulted in a difficult break up. I had some rough patches where it seemed like nothing was going right. Then in November a friend passed away followed by the loss of my best friend and companion of 17 years, my doggy Snowball. There were definitely some good things that happened in 2010 though. I got a promotion for a job I love. I made some amazing friendships, found a great roommate, found an apartment I really like, and made some awesome memories. I went to New York, Yellowstone, and Vegas. I went rafting, joined the best bunco group in the world, and had some good times with my gal pals. So even though 2010 brought me some of the roughest times I have had, I definitely had some fo the best times too.

Snowboarding for the first time!!
For 2011, I am determined to top 2010 so that this year the good will far outweigh the bad. Already I have had some amazing times and it's only February!! In January I started the year with a bang by going to Mexico with my friends and their very cool family. I also went snowboarding for the first time ever which was painfully fun. I have many more good times ahead because this year, instead of having a long list of resolutions, I decided I would do a 2011 Bucket List. Indoor rock climbing, do the splits, learn to drive a stickshift, and seeing a Saints game in New Orleans are just a few of the great things I have planned. I am so excited to start on this journey with my wonderful friends and family by my side. It's a new dawn and a new day...
